/ January 8, 2018Hmmm. “Fake News”. The reason they are pulling out is ad revenue won’t support circulation. Craigslist, Yelp, Nextdoor and plethora of “news summary” emails and podcasts collectively ate their lunch. Once again McClatchy failed to separate the “software” (content) form the “hardware” (print) successfully.
This new Martha Stewart ripoff will fail as well.
People seem to enjoy a sense of irony in their news lately. McClatchy does not even get it enough to be ironic.
Rumor has it: DOLRT is a waste of taxpayer money and welfare for developers, Blue Hill is roiling the community and is at the tail end of a dying trend, UNC is growing faster than the town and not paying its way, Schools have been ignoring their overpriced facilities and have their hands in your pocket again, it’s an election year and oh yea, Donald Trump is a stable genius.
