/ October 26, 2011I just saw this article in the N&O. There isn’t even a central location for residents to congregate in Chapel Hill that isn’t owned by the University.

That’s why I propose that Carolina North cede to Chapel Hill the MLK frontage to create a “Central Park” in the center of Chapel Hill. Not a Park with Soccer fields and dog fences, just a passive park with tree lined paths and benches around a central lawn.

/ October 26, 2011If only the whole wooded area with the trails could be left intact. As Chapel Hill grows, and it will become more dense, eventually, NCDs not withstanding, having acres where you can go to pretend you’re in the country will be essential. New York’s Central Park kept me sane while I lived in Manhattan.
